Troopers Ask Home Owners To Be Alert

20160831-PennsylvaniaStatePoliceEdit-GoogleImagesSKIPPACK PA – An increase in burglaries across communities served by the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Skippack – including Schwenksville borough, and Perkiomen, Lower Frederick, Skippack, Upper Frederick, and Upper Salford townships – has prompted troopers to ask area residents “to be cautious and watchful.” They’re requesting that home owners ensure house and car doors are regularly locked and secure.

They also are encouraging residents to keep their eyes open to potential trouble, such as any activity that may include “strangers knocking on doors, or strange vehicles in the community.” Thieves often target quiet neighborhoods and neighbors need to look out for each other, troopers noted.

If you see something say something, troopers reminded the public. They asked anyone who observes suspicious activity to call 9-1-1 immediately.

The barracks are located at 2047C Bridge Rd. For more information, or if you need to talk to State Police directly, call 610-584-1250.
