HARRISBURG PA – A professionally licensed Harleysville woman is the subject of a disciplinary action taken by the governing body that issued her license, the Pennsylvania Department of State reported last week.
The Pennsylvania Board of Cosmetology suspended the license (number CO263395) of Lindsey C. Leckemby of Harleysville on Dec. 7 (2016), it said, “for failing to pay a previously imposed civil penalty.” No other details were offered.
The Department of State oversees nearly 1 million active professionals and businesses working under the supervision of 29 professional licensing boards within the state Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, the Bureau of Charitable Organizations, and the Division of Legislation and Notaries in the Bureau of Commission, Election and Legislation.
Violations of laws or state regulations may result in disciplinary actions including civil penalties and the suspension or revocation of a license or commission.
