SCHWENKSVILLE PA – There’s a right way, and a wrong one, to preserve old photographs, documents, and other paper ephemera to ensure they last for years to come. Discover the right way to save them March 19 (2017; Sunday) at 1 p.m. during a special and free class to be held in the classroom building at Pennypacker Mills, the Montgomery County historic site located at 5 Haldeman Rd.
Come for an in-depth presentation that will enhance your knowledge about preservation, and show you examples and materials needed. Museum curator Carl Klase says “items should be stored in a cool, dark place with low humidity and no exposure to direct light.”
Learn how to accurately date old photographs too. Handouts will be provided for participants to take home after the program.
- Advance registration is requested; to register, call the site at 610-287-9349.
Pennypacker Mills is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educational programs, and changing exhibits. It is operated by the county Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites.
