Say Goodbye, For Now, To Zieglerville WawaZIEGLERVILLE PA – Wawa Store No. 281, constructed in 2008 at the intersection of Routes 73 and 29, will provide only limited retail services during the month of May as it undergoes a planned remodeling, the company announced on in-store signage.

Management said it intends to close the store at 3 Big Rd. on Monday (May 1, 2017), and offer only fuel sales there through May 25 (Thursday). It will officially re-open May 26 (Friday), with returning employees ready to greet customers in advance of the long Memorial Day weekend.

The local renovation is one of dozens the convenience store franchise is pursuing during 2017, according to Wawa’s website. The company said it is investing about $1 million in each project, primarily to improve store layouts, add new product lines, and improve operating efficiency. Store workers will remain employed at other Wawa locations in the interim, it said.

During April alone, Wawa indicated, it began updating store sites in Drexel Hill and Essington PA, Mount Holly and Somers Point NJ, Edgewater and Dover DE, and Richmond VA. Besides the Zieglerville store, another in Ardmore PA is scheduled for a May renovation.

If you’ve got to feed a need for Wawa while the remodeling is underway, the company reports its nearest available stores are at 451 W. Ridge Pike, Royersford, 3.9 miles from the Zieglerville location; 1906 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, 4.7 miles away; or 1860 Ridge Pike, Royersford, 4.9 miles away.
