FREDERICK PA – In partnership with New Hanover Township, state Rep. Marcy Toepel of the 147th House District will host a free paper-shredding event for constituents on May 13 (2017; Saturday) from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, at the New Hanover Township Recreation Center, 2360 Hoffmansville Rd.
- This event has been added to The Schwenksville Post calendar.
It features an on-site industrial paper shredder. District residents will have an opportunity to shred up to five packing boxes of material. Boxes will be returned. Only paper, not cardboard, will be accepted. Staples and paper clips need not be removed. All shredding takes place at the site.
Identity theft affects millions of people each year, Toepel said, and many families have documents that must be disposed of carefully to avoid confidential information ending up in the wrong hands. Destroying no-longer-needed personal information can help protect individuals, she added.
For more information call Toepel’s office at 610-323-3299.
