LOWER SALFORD PA – A drive-through lane in a proposed office and retail building at the Mainland Pointe planned development on Sumneytown Pike, between Quarry and Clemens roads, was included last week in a conditional use approval granted by the Lower Salford Board of Supervisors, according to a story in the Lansdale Reporter newspaper.
The Reporter’s Bob Keeler wrote that supervisors, during their June 7 (2017; Wednesday) meeting, required that the drive-through window could not occupy more than 2,500 square feet of the first floor in the 8,800-square-foot building. They also ordered signs to be installed in the drive-through area to safely and efficiently direct traffic, and that a condominium association be created to ensure the property’s maintenance.
The approval also allows the development to contain five apartment-only buildings.
The site originally was approved for “a mixed-use development including 39 single-family homes and 100,000 square feet of commercial (and) office space, with about 500 parking spaces,” Keeler wrote.
