SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Two more shows remain for July and August in the Schwenksville Summer Concert Series at Meadow Park, 300 Main St. behind the Schwenksville Fire Company, featuring rockabilly and blues artists, and a popular local rock band, the borough Activity Committee reminded music lovers.

“Mike Mettalia and Midnight Shift” will perform July 19 (2017; Wednesday) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the park at 300 Main St. Mettalia “on harmonica and vocals, played with Crosscut Saw for 13 years. It’s Mike’s versatility with rockabilly and blues that adds a cutting edge to Midnight Shift,” according to the concerts’ promotional materials.

The group “Dog Bite Money” plays Aug. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the park. “Always a local favorite, (the group) is a classic rock cover band with a song list that goes from Aerosmith to ZZ Top and everything in between,” the committee reports.

The concert series is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, a picnic dinner, “the kids and a dog” to the performances, which are underwritten by Advanced Disposal and Greenfield Senior Living. The first concert in the series was held June 21 and featured the “Flower Power Band.”
