LIMERICK PA – Representatives for Aldi Supermarkets say it will hold a second hiring event Saturday (June 24, 2017) from 9 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 15 Keystone Dr., in hopes of filling between 10 to 15 vacancies at company stores in Limerick (expected to open within weeks), Pottstown, East Norriton, Norristown, and Coatesville. Its last such event was held May 25 at the same location.
Aldi plans to conduct interviews for store associates, shift managers, and manager trainees. Wages for those jobs range from $12 hourly to about $52,000 annually, it added.
Qualified applicants are those age 18 or older, who preferably hold a high school diploma or general educational development certificate, are available to work Mondays through Sunday at any time between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., have retail experience, pass drug screening and background checks, and have the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
Aldi claims to offer its employees “wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry,” eligibility for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage for employees averaging 25 or more hours a week, and participation in a 401(k) retirement program.
