Enjoy Schwenksville Concert, No Tickets Needed

SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Mike Mettalia and Midnight Shift, a ’50s rock and rockabilly band, performs tonight (Wednesday, July 19, 2017) as the second of three shows offered this year in the Borough of Schwenksville’s annual summer concert series. The music plays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Meadow Park, behind the fire house at 300 Main St., and is free and open to the public.

The series is sponsored by the borough Activity Committee, which encourages listeners to “bring your chairs, blankets, picnic dinner, the kids and the dog” to the park setting. The shows are underwritten by Advanced Disposal, and Greenfield Senior Living.

The third show, scheduled for Aug. 16 (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. will be local rockers Dog Bite Money. The earlier start is due to waning daylight hours, but committee members promise the concert will be just as enjoyable. The first concert, held June 21, featured the Flower Power Band.
