Let Them Get A Whiff, And They're Off To Work

TROOPERS’ BEST FRIENDS (AND THE BAD GUYS’ WORST) – The Canine Section of the Pennsylvania State Police this week introduced its graduates for three new detection canine teams. The dogs and their handlers recently completed an intense basic training class and have already hit the streets to keep Pennsylvania safe, the agency said on its Facebook page. The dogs, from left, are “Jax,” a Black Lab/Dutch Shepherd mix trained in drug detection; “Abo,” a German Shepherd also trained in drug detection; and “Lorax,” a German Wirehair Pointer trained in explosives detection. The handlers were not identified by name.
