Nuclear Drill Participants Endured A Busy Night

PLANNING AND PREPARING FOR THE WORST – First responder volunteers from across western Montgomery County, including crews from Schwenksville Borough (at top and above) and in the county Emergency Operations Center in Eagleville PA (below), were kept busy Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2017) with the biennial Limerick Nuclear Generating Station preparedness drill staged by federal and state emergency management agencies. Among many participating partners were the Pennsylvania State Police, American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania Region, the county Health Department, and the county Critical Incident Stress Management Team. Schwenksville Borough Emergency Management Coordinator Chris Melville publicly thanked those who assisted in the borough. Preliminary results from the drill are expected to be announced Friday morning (Nov. 17) during a meeting in Collegeville.
