Santa's Police Go Shopping Soon In Pennsburg

PENNSBURG COPS GO SHOPPING SOON – The Upper Perkiomen Police Department’s fourth annual Shop With A Cop program, which lets kids “who need our support the most” buy their own Christmas gifts while accompanied by a police officer, this year will serve 20 students from Marlborough and Hereford elementary schools, the department said Wednesday (Nov. 15, 2017) on its Facebook page. They’ll head to Wal-Mart on Dec. 17 with their cop of the day, shop for themselves and their families, eat dinner with the department, and then receive a Christmas dinner to take home to their families as well. Officers would enjoy as much help as the community can offer. Those interested in making a financial contribution are asked to buy a Wal-Mart gift card in any denomination and drop it off to the department, or to contact Ofc. Jim McVeigh via e-mail at jmcveigh@upperperkpd.org.
