PENNSBURG PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled in both directions next Monday through Thursday (Dec. 18-21, 2017), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for manhole repairs on Route 29 between Front and West 2nd streets across Pennsburg and Red Hill boroughs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone. Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT said. The work scheduled of general contractor H & K Group, Inc. of Schwenksville depends on the weather.
The repairs are one portion of a $5.49 million project to resurface 24 miles of state highway in Montgomery County. PennDOT milled the existing roadway surface and repaved targeted highways with new asphalt that seals them and provides a smoother riding surface.
