As an independent natural grocer, Kimberton focuses on providing customers with natural, organic and non-genetically-modified groceries, prepared foods, and supplements “in a convenient environment,” the company said. Owner Terry Brett noted the Collegeville location, with 12,800 square feet of space, “will be our largest store yet.”
The store will offer expanded departments for organic produce, meat, specialty cheeses, and bakery items, extensive food service offerings, and ample indoor and outdoor seating with wi-fi, Brett added. It also includes a deli, floral department, made-to-order sushi, pre-made wraps and sandwiches, and a separate area for juices, coffee and smoothies.
Fair-trade handmade gifts, body care, household items will be available, in addition to an herbal apothecary at the center of the store.
Kimberton Whole Foods is a family-owned and operated independent market dedicated to supporting local farmers and food artisans since 1987. The company reported it works with more than 150 local producers to bring fresh natural and organic products to its shelves.
